St James offers three function areas including a dedicated function room. In addition to dedicated function spaces, across the three levels are sections suitable for group bookings, after meeting drinks or small celebrations.


From intimate occasions to gala events, our caterers have the expertise and experience to ensure your event is a great success. A selection of menus from platters, cocktail, buffet and sumptuous 2& 3 course sit down meals are available


Beverage Packages: Popular & cost-effective option that enables “unlimited consumption” of the specified beverages for set hour duration. Basic and premium packages are available. Alternatively packages can be tailored to your event
Bar Tab: A bar tab can be set to a pre determined selection & limit.
Consumption: Beverages can be charged on a consumption basis either in conjunction with a bar tab or guests may purchase their own drinks

  • In-house entertainment is a combination of house and guest DJ’s, percussion and select bands. Think sexy, groovy, funky, and hip! A fusion of styles including big beat, dance, funk, percussion, lounge, Latin and disco.

The Hyde, with unique and spectacular views over its namesake park is a large dedicated function room situated on the first floor with a capacity of upto 120 cocktail style. The décor is both plush and opulent with deep crimson, soft hues of gold, rich timberwork, marble, burnished gilt mirrors and chandeliers.

Mirabelle is the jewel in the crown with the funky Parisienne elegance of rich timberwork framing heavy velvet drapes and glowing chandeliers cascading from lofty ceilings. It features fusion of entertainment styles.
The décor is in rich jewel colours of crimson and gold, with soft hues of caramel and oatmeal balanced by extravagant furnishings, private nooks, burnished gilt mirrors and grand brocades. The luxurious seating includes decadent Chesterfields, plush club chairs and antique armchairs with bespoke wrought iron tables. With a capacity of upto 300 cocktail style, Mirabelle is available to hire exclusively upon application.
The first floor also boasts an all-important balcony for smoking.

Mirabelle and The Hyde can be hired as the one space offering a capacity of upto 450 cocktail style.

Invokes a touch of the New York diner; an intimate place to eat, drink, shoot pool and relax in a haven from the busy city streets above. The Modern bistro menu features mouth-watering burgers, succulent steaks, gourmet salads & mezze platters. The bistro can cater for upto 60seated and 100 cocktail style and is available for part or exclusive hire depending on the day.

Wall coverings of pressed steel fleur de Lys, elaborate chandeliers, and clean tones of cream, oatmeal and gold. Flattering lighting, natural materials and warm colours provide an atmosphere of relaxed modern luxury, whilst the light, airy and open space spills out onto Castlereagh Street. This area is suitable for group bookings, after meeting drinks or small celebrations.
